Exertron®

is a computerized resistance system that retrofits to existing strength exercise machines. The system electronically senses momentary available strength, a marker of the current level oxygen within the muscle cell, and automatically adjusts accordingly. Through this patented technology, it can now be known at what stimulus intensity produces results.

Traditional resistance machines use a vertical weight stack that only allow for manual weight increments/decrements. Exertron uses IVR™ (Intelligent Variable Resistance) technology, a system of horizontally selectable weights that can be configured down to a single pound resolution.

This coupled with the computer controlled IVR™ technology, allows for a seamless automatic weight selection. The Exertron machine uses a specially designed algorithm to change resistance based on range of motion, speed of motion, and other variables to dynamically increase or decrease the amount of resistance. This allows for each repetition to be maximized so that the weight is equal to total available strength at all times.
